Manpower Professional’s Client, a Fortune 100 global leader in providing integrated communications solutions and embedded electronic solutions, is seeking a TEST ENGINEER II in Horsham, PA. JOB DESCRIPTION: Experience Level - 7 - 10 YearsDVS System Integration, which is a part of the DVS System Engineering organization, is responsible for the integration and verification of features and functions of client’s digital set top equipment. Use current documentation of test process and formalize as released procedures in document control system. Shadow test team and document process flows and test procedures (that are currently not documented). Work with business team to ensure traceability process is adequate. Work with NPI team on test planning documentation. Support to the Field Engineering Team in testing of new hardware, software applications and accessories of new and upgraded products as they are released. Raise of all issues found during testing and to work with the Development and Integration Teams to track those issues until resolution. Must be capable of reading and understanding technical specifications. Good English knowledge and PC skills.- Prepare test plans/procedures from system requirements. - Execute testing and configuration of test stations. Analysis of problems to aid development groups in troubleshooting bugs. - Create test reports and present results to engineering teams and management. - Work with customers on establishing test requirements based on their use cases, and developing tests to troubleshoot customer failures. - Good written and oral skills for interface with other engineering groups Requirements: - Knowledge of MPEG2 protocols, IP protocols, and GbE networking. Understanding of data communications, video, and CATV systems a plus. - System Engineering experiences a plus. - Ability to write test plans from customer use cases and system engineering documents. Ability to create system level test scenarios based on knowledge of equipment used in the system. - Ability to execute test suites based on written plans and direction from senior engineers. Knowledge of test tools such as IP Network sniffers, MPEG scopes, and spectrum analyzers. Good written and oral skills.
