This position will be responsible for implementation and support of standard engineering solutions, usually representing a smaller portion of a project or service opportunity, under close supervision of other project engineers or service technicians to successfully complete scope of work within budgeted time and cost constraints. Our mission is focused on providing support requisite to maximize the outcome based solutions which our customers have purchased to provide year over year return on their capital investment. In addition to supporting our customer's service labor & replacement parts needs, a Project Technician may be called upon to troubleshoot system problems, provide routine or preventative maintenance, implement a small project, engineer an out of the box solution, provide training and feedback, or simply listen to our customers issues with empathy.
Responsibilities will include:
- Produces part(s) of technical design specifications under supervision.
- Executes implementation work assignments to appropriate standards and quality systems.
- Executes test work assignments to appropriate standards and quality systems.
- Executes documentation work assignments to appropriate standards and quality systems.
- Pro-actively looks to build cross discipline experience and increase knowledge through working with other engineers and technicians.
- Reports progress and technical problems to project and supervisor.
- Act as a service professional with customer care responsibility.
Job Dimension: The qualified candidate will have an opportunity to participate in a unique training program. This one year rotational training program will provide significant classroom and hands-on training along with exposure to multiple functions within the Honeywell Process Solutions Operations organization; therefore, willingness to work from Field offices and / or occasional travel to service locations may be required. This work will be performed, typically, under close supervision within a broad range of activities.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Minimum of a technical degree or equivalent years of experience
2. Computer and PC software skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Access, PowerPoint, and shows sound knowledge of a Microsoft networked desktop environment, and demonstrates interest and capability of keeping skill set current with changing technology
3. Effective written and verbal skill to enable strong communication capabilities.
4. Must be well organized and able to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
Desired Qualifications:
1. Knowledge in Electronics or Computer Systems or technical certificate.
2. Diagnostic and analytical skills including problem solving, trouble shooting, management of priorities and self direction to resolve complex issues.
3. Basic knowledge of process control theory and/or process technology for continuous processes.
4. Willingness to relocate
