Technical Support Engineer

A technical service & support office of semiconductor equipment in Beaverton, OR, has an opening for Technical Support Engineer.

 

Duties:Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.Communicate with Customer Service Department and Head Quarters in Japan.Distributes technical information to internal engineers, business associates and customers.Collects information from US field then feeds back to HQ.Control inventory including physical inventory count (monthly/quarterly).

Sales support may be required (Travel with sales people and make Technical Presentations).



Ideal candidate:Be able to install, troubleshoot, and maintain products/equipment.Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures regarding lasers Engineer/Customer Service experience.  (Light source for semiconductor processing Scanner/Stepper.)Bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.Excellent English communication skills. Bilingual E/J is preferred.
