 TEST TECHNICIAN

NWL, Inc., a leading manufacturer of electrical components is seeking an Electrical Test Technician to compliment our Quality Assurance department and contribute to technical innovativeness and total commitment to customer service for our Capacitor Division.



JOB PURPOSE

Evaluates electrical components by conducting performance, environmental, and operational tests.



DUTIES

* Prepares tests by studying test objectives, standards, methods, conditions, and equipment.



* Identifies product capability and reliability by conducting performance, environmental, and operational tests.



* Resolves testing problems by altering testing methods during tests; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.



* Documents test outcomes by completing test logs.



* Reports test outcomes by collecting data.



* Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications.



* Maintains safe test environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.



* Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.



* Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.



* Routinely lifts 50lbs. and works in an intensive hands-on atmosphere.



SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Associates Degree Electrical/Electronics Technology (ASEET) from an accredited institute of learning or combination of education and experience.  Process Improvement, Statistical Analysis, Analyzing Information, Data Maintenance, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Manufacturing Quality, Reporting Research Results, Electronic Testing Design, Quality Engineering.
