Job Purpose: The individual will help manage the day to day activities from a support and maintenance perspective and make the landscape performing and stable. Also responsible for providing subject matter expertise on all necessary Basis support. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Extensive hands-on production support in a Global Support OrganizationSupports BASIS components: change control, ccms, printing, transport, and patching.Strong experience in dual stack (ABAP/Java) and BI 7.0 administration. Researches and implements solutions for Basis functionality in the areas of performance monitoring, tuning, and systems configuration, design and implementation. Provides high degree of technical engineering and support to the SAP team. Foster and Maintain integrity with functional team (FI/CO, SD, MM) with better support. Ability to use DB2 functions within SAP and provide recommendations. Maintain single sign-on (SSO) solution for portal and backend (R/3 and BI) systems. Responds to user requests and inquiries based on Service Center support system. Ensures that all objects promoted through SAP's CTS are consistent and executable. Help establish SOPs to ensure high availability of SAP environments. Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance duties for SAP environments Facilitates and maintains interfaces between SAP and legacy applications. Participates and provides 24x7 on-call support. Knowlege and Skills: Expert knowledge of SAP best practices. Thorough knowledge of current computer technology in Unix and/or zLinux operating systems, proficiency with DB2 (zOS), ORACLE and/or other large scale relational database management systems, client/server experience also desirable Strong analysis and design skills Proven ability to work independently and as a team member Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills Work Experience and Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree Must have 8+ years of SAP Basis experience to perform Basis system administration tasks, monitoring, troubleshooting, analysis, planning and execution tasks for multiple SAP core systems, which include ECC 6.0, BI 7.0, SCM 5.0, CRM 5.0, Portal 7.0, Virsa (CC, AE, FF), and Solution Manager 7.0.
