The Enterprise and Storage division is addressing high-growth opportunities in RAID systems, HBAs and line cards. We are developing next generation RAID solutions, controllers, and line cards in advanced CMOS processes for storage systems.

As a member of the Enterprise and Storage group, you will be responsible for validation of next generation products and system-level reference-designs based on a solid understanding of storage systems.

 

ResponsibilitiesFollow the hardware specification and validate all the specification. Create test plans. Follow the DVT procedure and write report on the testing results. Perform hardware validation tests to ensure conformance with specifications; Report hardware quality issues through bug-tracking system; Analyze results to improve validation methodology and contribute to new validation test plans and preparation of test cases; Deliver packaged hardware to System Validation team - generate tarballs, create installation scripts, flash firmwarePerform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

· Ability to plan and document validation plans for a complex system.

· Familiar with HW validation steps, a successful candidate has at least done validation on a shipping product

· Familiar with today's processors, memory sub-systems, and high speed serial busses

· Knowledge of PCI-E, SAS/SATA protocols desired

· Ability to work with cross functional teams from product definition to a shipping product

· Has intimate knowledge of lab test equipments including high speed scopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment

· Has done some design work, and is familiar with design methodologies at board level

· Capability to code and use scripting languages for lab automation

· Knowledge of XML, Tcl and C language desired

· Willing to learn in a fast paced environment, being a self starter, and organized

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· 5+ year experience in a related field, with a BSEE

· BS/MS in EE or CS preferred.
