Supply Planning Manager
We currently have an opportunity for a Supply Planning Manager to join our Supply Chain Team at our Corporate Headquarters. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing supply plans designed to deliver customer service and inventory position targets, while efficiently utilizing capital and labor resources. You will manage a team of Supply Planners who establish supply plans for our three manufacturing facilities, as well as interplant and supply chain partners. These supply plans direct the operations of the Shure resources, as well as the purchasing plans for our suppliers. Your will also recommend the most cost effective use of available assets, such as labor and facility resources, as well as working capital and establish policies to guide the Supply Planning Team in the execution of their activities. Additional responsibilities:· Manage the Engineering Change Order Date Effectiveness Process to minimize obsolescence costs · Support Data Integrity and Scheduling Integrity goals and standards · Support Business Process Definition/Documentation and training program development · Actively identify process and tool changes to drive improved Supply Chain Performance and support training of other team members in SAP and inventory management · Lead special projects including open and closing distribution centers, Plant Product Line transitions · Conduct capacity studies for new product and new customer change requests · Supports routine “What If” analysis for special customer demands and inventory policy changes including cost alternatives of inventory and capacity utilization within the Supply Chain · Provide thought leadership across plants on supply planning processes, tools and technologies To be considered for this position we require a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning (or similar career areas such as logistics planning, inventory planning, scheduling/production planning). An APICS’ CPIM certification and Masters degree strongly desired. Proven leadership experience and communication skills are also required. Experience with production and inventory control Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRPII) / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software modules such as SAP R3/APO also desired. APPLY NOW!
