Supply Chain Strategy, Retail Industry Deloitte Consulting LLP Deloitte Consulting LLP ("Deloitte Consulting") is one of the nation's leading consulting firms for business strategy, operations, technology and human resources planning.  We bring together a strong combination of experience, scale and capabilities to help clients address their most complex business problems.  The organizational structure of our parent organization, Deloitte LLP ("Deloitte") and our collaborative approach integrate our consulting services with other Deloitte & Touche USA subsidiaries offering tax services, financial advisory services, and risk management capabilities.  Clients depend on us for straightforward advice and results that create value.   Strategy & Operations Deloitte Consulting's Strategy & Operations < https://km.deloitteresources.com/C4/Strategy%20%20Operations/default.aspx > Service Area works with senior management to help make major decisions and implement improvements that dramatically increase the performance of our clients' businessby focusing on 'executable strategy' and by integrating industry and functional knowledge in corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions, customer relationships, technology, financial management, supply chain, and operations.   Retail Deloitte Consulting is a leading provider of professional services to retail, wholesale and distribution companies across the U.S.  Clients include department stores, mass retailers, grocery, specialty and luxury retailers and their businesses cut across all the retail channels including stores, internet, and catalog.  Deloitte Consultings retail industry supply chain work is positioned in the C-suite developing executable strategies that are consistent with company growth strategies   Projects are often part of larger transformation projects not one-off engagements.  The scope of services help clients bring products to market faster and in synch with demand to maximize sales, service and profitability.  Specifically our projects cover Synchronizing Supply and Demand; Private label strategies and cycle time reduction; Distribution network optimization; Sustainability; Transportation management/optimization; Product Flow Profitability/inventory optimization; Supply Chain Execution System selection and implementation support; Sourcing and Procurement.    Senior Managers manage and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business solutions and technology solutions for large retail clients.  Senior Managers are expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways, including: - Engagement Management:  managing engagement risk, project economics including planning and budgeting, managing accounts receivable, defines deliverable content, ensures buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client - Business Development: develops and maintains contact with top decision makers at key clients, organizes and leads pursuit teams, participating and leading aspects of the proposal development process, contributes to proposal pricing strategy. - Practice Development & Eminence: development of solutions and methodologies, development of "thoughtware" and "point-of-view" documents, public speaking and publication in industry periodicals. - People Development: performs role of counselor and coach, provides input and guidance into the firms staffing process, and actively participates in staff recruitment and retention activities.   Candidates will manage retail industry supply chain projects that include work that is positioned in the C-suite developing executable strategies that are consistent with company growth strategies   Project work will be part of larger transformation projects not one-off engagements.  The project scope of services includes bringing products to market faster and in synch with demand to maximize sales, service and profitability.  Managing strategy and operations improvement projects in the Supply Chain area include:   - Synchronizing Supply and Demand - Private label strategies and cycle time reduction - Distribution network optimization - Sustainability - Transportation management/optimization - Product Flow Profitability/inventory optimization - Supply Chain Execution System selection and implementation support - Sourcing and Procurement ·        Must be able to travel 75 percent annually ·       A minimum of 8 years consulting and/or industry experience is required. ·       A Bachelor's Degree is required.    In addition, successful Senior Managers will also have the following preferred skills:   - An advanced degree is preferred.       About DeloitteDeloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, a Swiss Verein, and its network of member firms, each of which is a legally separate and independent entity.
