Our healthcare professionals serve a distinct group of clients that are involved in the discovery, development, manufacturing and sale of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and medical devices. Deloitte Consulting can help clients respond to market forces and maximize their possibilities by addressing these and other challenges in today's complex environment.  A Manager with experience in consulting will manage and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business solutions and technology solutions for Life Sciences client companies.  The manager level job description includes providing service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, evaluating and validating analysis and recommendations of the engagement team in context of the total engagement. Implements and oversees quality of deliverables and manages the team effectively to ensure exceptional performance and manages day-to-day client relationships. Managers participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities. Managers manage small engagements or components of large, complex engagements.  Will work with senior level client executives on merger and acquisitions, licensing, partner and alliance strategies; channel strategy development and implementation; marketing resource management; competitive market analysis; sales force optimization; customer relationship management; technology selection and integration; regulatory compliance and risk management; and intellectual property protection. Interested candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Business or Biological Science, or related science fields, and have 6 or more years experience in management consulting and/or pharmaceutical, biotech or the medical device industry. From inception to initial public offering or global product launch, our professionals have comprehensive experience in: customer channel strategy, merger and acquisitions, clinical trials, supply chain optimization, investment prioritization, commercialization strategy, financial and performance management, R&D regulatory requirements, operations excellence, IT strategy, CRM and more.  Extensive domestic travel to client locations is required.  Manager: ·      Managers will lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for large companies. ·      Manager level responsibilities include: providing service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, evaluating and validating analysis and developing recommendations for the client in the context of the overall engagement. ·      Managers implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance. ·      Managers participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities. ·      Managers can lead small engagements or components of large, complex engagements. ·      A minimum of 6 years consulting and/or Life Sciences industry experience is required. ·      A Bachelor's Degree is required.  In addition, successful Managers will also have the following preferred skills:  - Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint). - Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment. - Eagerness to mentor junior staff. - An advanced degree is preferred.
