Currently, we have an opening for a Strategic Buyer in our Parsippany facility. The qualifications for this position include:

·  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a business discipline; MBA and/or Technical or Engineering exp. a plus

·  Experience with Contract Manufactures and/or a manufacturing environment

·  Minimum of five years progressive experience with electronics/computer peripherals, including ability to understand commodity market dynamics and be able to use this understanding to effectively negotiate pricing

·  Demonstrated ability to function in faced paced product transition environment (e.g. NPI and EOL)

·  Demonstrated leadership, including the ability to influence without authority

·  Demonstrated strategic thinking

·  Strong project management skills

·  Strong financial, analytical  and math skills (statistics, cost accounting, computer spreadsheets)

·  Demonstrated ability to understand and negotiate effective contracts

·  Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·  Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including ability to communicate effectively in English

 

 

 Responsibilities for this position include:

 

·  Perform strategic and orchestrate operational activities relative to supply chain management, appropriate commodity supply, sourcing strategies, contract terms and agreements, to ensure the most competitive market prices to meet delivery requirements

·  May provide training and direction to more junior Procurement staff

·  Define and direct the implementation of supply chain initiatives; maximize the model

·  Develop, implement and maintain appropriate procurement strategy (supplier, sourcing, supply chain)

·  Analyze and influence material requirements planning

·  Establish business award percentages

·  Manage the creation of disaster recovery plans

·  Lead Quarterly Business Reviews and development plans for large, strategic suppliers; ensure that any issues are communicated and resolved quickly and accurately

·  Manage to dashboard metric goals, using root cause analysis and corrective actions

·  Define and maintain approved vendor list

·  Manage contract/business agreement/terms negotiation and implementation

·  Ensure Engineering change orders are communicated and managed

·  Drive material cost reductionsBOM procurement approach

·  Keep current with and communicate market price and availability changesCollect and analyze market data.  Present recommendations for company direction and decisions.

·  Provide on-going regional and supply base assessments

·  Provide key customer/supplier linkagesRoadmap comparison between Supplier and PNY Marketing GroupSynchronize Supplier Technologies and PNY Requirements

·  Ensure timely processing of material requirements planning including purchase order generation and management

·  Manage the introduction of new products by:

­ Ensuring that supplier has accurate product specs

­ Defining sourcing strategy, supplier selection and supply chain

­ Manage time-to-market and time-to volume issue

·  Ensure efficient product transitions (e.g. NPI and EOL)

·  Assist in other areas, as directed
