My client has been a global leader in the design and manufacturing of wireless radios that support a wide range of applications in the oil and gas, electric, water/wastewater, public safety, traffic, lottery and rail markets. They’re experts in narrowband, wideband, and spread spectrum technologies for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint network architectures. Senior Test Engineer-  Rochester, NY- 44174 Summary:This candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of test methods for new and existing products. He/She will interface globally with Design Engineering, Operations and Contractors to insure timely and effective release of new products by providing input on design for manufacturability and test.  Responsibilities: Develop test architecture and strategy to optimize time, quality and cost. Supports the release of new wireless products to Manufacturing. Supports Design Engineering in developing Test Specifications for new and modified products. Plans and implements design for test concepts. Works w/ CAD resources to ensure testability is fully incorporated into boards Responsible for entire scope of testing processes: Electrical integrity validation- ICT, JTAG, Flying Probe, etc., Board functional, Code Load, Burn-in, System/Configuration testing. Coordinates and develops test methods and procedures for new products. Defines test processes and assumes a lead role in resolve testing problems. Provides training to Operations Staff.  Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in engineering 7-10 years experience Must be able to communicate well both in technical and business terms. Multi-lingual skills a plus. Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles and sound engineering judgment. Application of ingenuity, analysis, expertise, independent judgment and creative ability to resolve engineering problems. Must be able to analyze complex technical problems, statistical data and develop effective solutions. Must be familiar with all electronics and RF circuit design and testing technologies. Labview and Test stand experience. Good working knowledge and application of engineering and design principles, implementation techniques and relative implementation costs.
