JOB PURPOSE:
We are searching for a Senior Product Verification Engineer with solid software development skills and a passion to win. The ideal candidate must be driven to assure the outstanding quality of Fluke Networks’ suite of products through design, automation and execution of quality assurance practices. This Senior PV Engineer will work w/ the extended Fluke Networks team to develop the test strategy and subsequent execution of the test plan. This candidate needs to have extensive knowledge and experience with VoIP to include call signaling, RTP/RTCP, and VoIP quality measurements. Additional responsibilities will include development, procurement and deployment of a test network capable of insuring the quality of Fluke Networks products. The ideal candidate will also possess sound product verification skills to include test plan and test case development, execution and quality metrics reporting and tracking.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Work in conjunction with the R&D Software Engineers to develop and execute unit software test suites, modules, harnesses and automation as key contributor to agile development team.
2. Develop module tests at the embedded and application level that can be automated and executed nightly as part of a daily development build process.
3. Perform thorough testing on software components and the complete system from product initiation through code complete.
4. Provide clear, detailed problem descriptions to the R&D Software Engineers to aid in defect resolution.
5. Analyze product requirements both from a software perspective and a user perspective to design test plans and software test specification documents.
6. Leverage knowledge of application to serve as an escalation resource for resolving customer support issues.
7. Evaluate and implement test automation for the Fluke Networks suite of products.
8. Develop and maintain the coding interfaces required to leverage the capabilities of an automated test tool.
9. Identify and document/track defects using a defect tracking database.

Qualifications: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. Five or more years of professional software development experience using C/C++, VB, Perl, Python and/or Java are required.
2. Six or more years of software QA experience. Experience working within a software product company strongly preferred. Strong development skills will be considered in place of formal QA experience.
3. Demonstrable Microsoft, Linux or Unix operational knowledge and skills, with SQL knowledge preferred.
4. Knowledge of networking technologies and infrastructures is preferred. CCNA, CCNP/CCDP, or CCIE will be considered as a substitute for software development experience.
5. Extensive experience writing test plans, test specification and test automation for component, system, and performance testing.
6. BS in mathematics, physics, engineering or computer science is required.
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills mandatory.
8. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Project and Access.
9. Knowledge of CMM/CMMI practices.
