Job ID: 463Job Description and Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities:Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. Specific Responsibilities:• Responsible for the Quality Management System including the current ISO 9001 accreditation and project lead for additional required accreditation. Facilitates ISO, internal, and customer audits.• Responsible sustaining and improving the calibration system and maintaining traceability to NIST including performing annual gauge studies with international calibration sites to determine uncertainty.• Work with suppliers to improve their quality, track and provide supplier performance data including auditing new and existing suppliers • Develop and improve existing SPC methods to monitor critical processes• Lead activities related to cost of quality reductions including scrap, warranty, and rework• Maintain the existing corrective action process including customer, preventative, internal, and supplier requests• Active role in Quality Assurance in new product introductions, including specification reviews for quality, reliability, warranty rates, standards, and other contract requirements • Provide reporting for key metrics including warranty, scrap, yield, rework, and supplier qualityEducation and Work Experience:• Degreed Engineer with more than 5 years experience in improving yield, warranty, and supplier quality and maintaining ISO accreditation• Experience with ISO 17025 (A2LA) calibration preferred• Green Belt in Six Sigma required, Black Belt preferred• Requires a fundamental understanding of SPC, CpK and Control Charts of various types and demonstrated implementation of SPC processes• Strong knowledge of metrology fundamentals • Experience with local and international contract manufacturers• Up to 20% travel required.Additional Information:Travel Percentage: 20%
