Position Description:

The ideal candidate will be a highly self-motivated, self-managing engineer able to implement successful product launches from development to production release as well as enhance existing solutions for optimal product profitability. This is a hands-on position requiring leadership and teamwork involving global design, test and manufacturing personnel. Product line includes high performance DSL, SONET and T/E carrier interface devices, as well as complex digital link-layer controllers and complex communications SOC's for high volume consumer markets.

Qualifications:

This position requires extensive experience in consultative design support sales of video switching and transport solutions, for high definition and 3G video semiconductor products. Technology experience required in the areas of high speed video switching, cable equalization, and clock recovery. Extensive customer knowledge and contacts of video switching and routing accounts in the US and Canada. 4+ year experience in a Product Engineering role, BS & MS in EE/ECE, (or equivalent exp), Background preferred but not limited to VLSI, RF circuit design, solid state physics, wireless communication technology, mixed-signal systems, experience with ECE laboratory design and test instruments, and group design projects.- Participate on new product development teams to ensure adequate testability, perform test conversion tasks, implement test solutions, characterize and qualify products for production release.- Understand contributors to cost and drive cost reductions through improvements to product yields, packaging and/or test solutions.- Debug and resolve real-time manufacturing issues as required.- Ensure product quality meets/exceeds customer expectations and is consistent with corporate requirements.
