Sr. Electronic Assembler

Description:

A rapidly growing Montgomery County manufacturing facility is currently seeking four (4) Sr. Electronic Assemblers to help build and repair electronics equipment for their new product line.

 

Job Function:

·  Perform complex soldering/assembly and modification tasks on electronic PCB’s, mechanical components, sub-assemblies and systems.

·  Wrapping, splicing, and securing fiber optic cables and connectors.

·  Assemble, disassemble, modify, rework and repair various preproduction and production sub-assemblies, assemblies and complete electrical and mechanical functions

·  Inspect results to ensure conformance with requirements using precision measuring equipment and perform rework as needed.

·  Perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies/sub-assemblies, using hand tools and electronic and pneumatic tooling

·  Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision

 

Requirements:

·  Any type of Solder certifications (IPC-610, J-Standard, Military, NASA, etc.)

·  Must be able to demonstrate the ability to solder surface mount 0402 components under a microscope.

·  Requires ability to use small hand tools and to lift 15lbs.

·  High school diploma or GED, Associates degree is a plus.

·  Able to read prints, work instructions and schematics.

·  Be able to cut and strip wire, pot, crimp and solder, as well as perform cleaning and marking operations.

·  Have knowledge of General Safety Practices, ESD Awareness, Foreign Object Awareness and Quality System Awareness

·  Experience in handling, splicing, and wrapping single mode fiber optic cable is a plus
