Sr. Applications Engineer - HSL

The Senior Applications Engineer will be externally focused and sales oriented to develop new design win opportunities and to support existing customers on their technical issues. 

Responsibilities: Analyze market trends and next gen architectures Work closely with Marketing and Sales to architect and sell new solution platforms Support customer questions and requests via lab measurements Develop application notes, data sheets, and reference design boards Write whitepapers and articles Support booth and demo at tradeshows  Requires 30-40% travel (both domestic and international) Based in Sunnyvale, CA (preferable) or Westlake Village, CA

Qualifications: Strong understanding of high frequency analog design and signal integrity is required  Strong high frequency lab measurement skills Experience with analog to digital converters (ADC) and digital receiver front ends, Military & Space systems, and /or Test and Measurement systems, is highly desirable  Ability to effectively communicate benefits of products and services Entrepreneurial spirit and self-confidence to excel in a highly dynamic, team-oriented environment. High ethical standards BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar; advanced degree is highly desirable  5+ years experience as an applications engineer in a high speed/high performance semiconductor group/company or startup  Prior experience as a design engineer with a systems house in the Test and Measurement industry like Agilent or Tektronix, a high speed communications group in an Aerospace/Defense company like Lockheed Martin or Raytheon, or the ATE industry like Advantest or Teradyne, would be highly desirable
