Software(Firmware) Engineer
POSITION: Software/Firmware Engineer LOCATION: San Jose, CA JOB DESCRIPTION INFORMATION:
PURPOSE:
Develop firmware intellectual properties for camera module projects.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES / DUTIES:
The candidate will be responsible to develop complete set of still image camera production firmware based on an arm 9 or similar platforms. He/She can independently design and implement imaging firmware, bring up and integrate new HW interfaces when needed. He/She should also be working closely with the imaging team to implement image quality tuning and new imaging algorithms such as auto-focus, face tracking. He/She will provide proper firmware hooks for the testing group. The candidate needs to be strong effective communicator for both spoken and written communications. He/She needs to be independent, highly motivated individual.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Some years experience required with specific software applications, equipment, or specific certifications and education requirements such as MSME, MSEE, APICS.
REQUIRED (MUST-HAVE) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Vast knowledge and hands-on practice in arm-based firmware development.
- In-depth design and implementation of embedded imaging system/devices.
- Knowledge and experiences in RTOS.
- Experts in firmware development environment such as Keil.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- Must be able to produce firmware functional specification and realistic schedule.
- Experiences with streaming devices a big plus.
- Familiar with FW integration of imaging control algorithms such as AE/AWB/Auto Focus/Face tracking.
- Experiences with various sensor and bus interfaces: MIPI, CCP2, USB, parallel, I2C, SPI.
- Experiences with image color pipe in still or video cameras.
- Experiences for control and integration of VCM, shutter, flash.
