Senior Systems Test Engineer
Job Description
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will have a comprehensive knowledge of software and hardware project management best practices, along with having the proven ability to see projects through feature lock down as per major CDMA2000 and UMTS wireless operator carrier requirements. Candidate will also be responsible for the formal document preparation and submission of 3G wireless products to CDMA2000 or UMTS operators for commercial acceptance.
This position will help define the scope of the product team's project(s), by working closely with development engineering, and customer relations stakeholders to resolve product issues in a timely manner and meet customer needs; troubleshoot and address technical and launch issues as necessary. The TPM shall continue to evaluate existing processes to identify inefficiencies; propose solutions to streamline processes as necessary. The TPM is also responsible for helping to manage all facets of a product through customer compliance or feature lock down, engineering development, and implementation on the customer's network. The TPM will have a key, hands-on role during the product launch cycle, particularly the management of customer acceptance processes. The TPM will also actively manage and perform gap-analysis of customer technical requirements and compliance processes, assisting product engineering with technical issues associated with requirements definition, product launches, and product updates as necessary.
Responsibilities:
-Technical requirements management of 3G wireless data product portfolio relating to customer processes and resolution of product issues associated with software and hardware
-Cross-functional project management of products relating to compliance with customer requirements
-As necessary define, organize, and consolidate technical requirements and processes to manage product acceptance at network operator's and end product customer's facilities
-Manage the technical relationship with customer's product compliance and test organizations
-Work with customer technical and business strategists through commercial approval and definition of updates to software and hardware, as necessary.
-Work with engineering test organization to review and ensure the development of robust test requirements tailored to customer acceptance and product launch processes
-Assist engineering management in the creation of the project plan, schedules, and deliverables in support of the customer compliance process
-Partner with engineering for risk analysis and change management
-Travel and meeting with customer engineering, testing and product compliance personnel as required
Skills/Experience
5-7 years of experience in product management; with an emphasis towards managing customer requirements in the development of data products for 3G wireless networks
-Familiar with CDMA2000 or UMTS carrier process for commercial product feature lock down and submission documentation for acceptance.
-Thorough understanding of software development life cycles
-Experience in leading engineering teams during development and launch phases; provide definition for updates when necessary;
-Leadership skills necessary to resolve issues in the critical path of customer acceptance; work with customer management personnel to resolve and minimize gating issues; plan and carry forward resolutions; management of non-compliance issues.
-Experience working in a multi-divisional environment; with engineering and business development
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Experience working with customer engineering, requirements management and feature lock down processes.
-Ability to adapt to circumstances as they change and confront new challenges as required
-Ability to review and offer timely feedback technical requirements documents, technical descriptions, and customer centric documents; clarity and ease of use for application both internal and external to the company
-Adhere to team processes and standards; identify and recommend improvements as needed.
-Ability to facilitate technical review meetings as necessary to facilitate the resolution issues and/or software bugs
-Capable of working with various engineering teams to ensure that technical specifications created conform to requirements in Customer Requirements Documents

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience preferred.
