JukeBlox software provides the core functionality for BridgeCo’s market leading media distribution technology. It exposes an API for customers to build their applications on. The embedded core provides powerful media streaming and management functionality. The senior software developer is a hands-on development role with additional responsibility taking the lead on all technical and project issues relating to JukeBlox. Experience of working with offshore subcontractors would be an advantage.   Technical SkillsMinimum 5 years experience in some or all of the following: 

·       Object oriented software design and architecture

·       C++ including a good knowledge of STL

·       Embedded software development

·       Real time operating systems - ideally Linux

·       Multi-threaded application development

·       Industry standard audio/video signal processing algorithms

·       IP protocols

·       802.11g WiFiEducationBachelors Degree in Electronics/Computer Science or related disciplineMasters Degree or PhD desiredOther·       Experience of providing technical direction to offshore development teams

·       Software lifecycle and configuration management processes and tools e.g. Subversion.

·       An understanding of agile software development methodologies. E.g. scrum, XP, TDD
