Senior Program Support Technician
Job Description: The Senior Program Support Technician will provide project support in the areas of either mechanical or electrical capabilities. These may include assisting mechanical engineers, or electrical engineers, and sometimes scientists in all phases of the design, development, production, testing, operation, and maintenance of mechanical or electrical equipment, tools, and industrial machinery. Duties and Responsibilities: · Develop engineering drawings using computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing methods, techniques, and computer applications. · Maintenance and management of facility equipment (e.g., milling machines). · Assist in design, development, and testing of electrical equipment and electronic systems or components. These systems may include satellite communication, terrestrial telecommunication, cellular communication, multi-discipline sensors, and information dissemination networks. · Assist in preparation of layouts and drawings of the assembly process and parts manufactured in the facility. · Component fabrication and assembly. · Assist with technical documentation. Required Qualifications: · Minimum of 6 years of related experience. · High School Diploma. · Graduation from an accredited technical institute or a resident study program. · U.S. citizenship. Successful applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. · If mechanical focus, ability to operate typical light machine shop equipment such as band saw, drill press, milling machine, and mechanical inspection and measurement equipment · If electrical focus, ability to operate typical electrical shop equipment such as an oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, soldering, power supplies, and various testers, Desired Qualifications: · Experience working with military/government communications equipment. · Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software. · Ability to work independently or in a team environment.Job Code : SED-D301 Division/Department : ARA-Southeast Division Travel Required : 0-10% Skills : Engineering -> Electrical, Mechanical Integrity, Field Service
