Senior Process Development Engineer

Job ID: 485Job Description and Responsibilities: Responsibilities1) Develop key processes (assembly, materials, joining, coating) needed in the manufacturing of laser diode modules and optical sensors.2) Research and develop with outside vendors coatings for optical components and sensors.3) Research and develop bonding methods for optical components in laser diode modules and sensors.4) Troubleshoot material degradation problems (optical, thermal, outgassing) via analytical techniques.5) Provide material science input for the design of heat sinks, optical “breadboards�, thin film coatings, bond lines, and surface finishes.6) Write assembly procedures, processing instructions, and all other documentation required to transfer new fabrication processes to manufacturing.7) Other process development and troubleshooting responsibilities outside of laser diode modules and optical sensors may be added in the future as business conditions evolve.
