Job Description
**This position is located in Atlanta, GA**

The FIRETHORN/QUALCOMM mobile commerce platform offers wireless managed services to financial institutions, card issuers, and wireless carriers globally. These applications will be offered through an electronic wallet on the mobile device that includes Director of Sales, bill payment, remote payments, proximity payments and merchant services such as loyalty programs, couponing, and commerce opportunities. By offering a single platform that connects the wireless carrier to retailers, Firethorn/Qualcomm expects to reduce the costs and risks of mobile commerce while accelerating market development and maximizing the revenue growth opportunity. The key components of the Merchant platform will include Account Services, Loyalty programs, Couponing and other Offers, Gift Cards and eventually contactless payments. Developing the Merchant channel is a critical component to Firethorn's overall strategy.

The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to evaluate existing and potential product and service markets. This individual will be responsible for conducting market and competitive research to identify and monitor competitors and research market conditions or changes in the industry that may affect market and sales opportunities. Perform quantitative data analysis and quantify market and competitive opportunities. This position will also be responsible for analyzing product/service pricing, leading to competitive value-based solution pricing (validating price elasticity and customer propensity to buy).

Responsibilities:

. Collect market data from a number of research/data channels and perform quantitative analysis on attractive customer segments and market potentials

. Help quantify and support market and customer segmentation initiatives

. Perform competitive analysis, profiling competitor strengths/weakness and providing proactive intelligence

. Help set product/service pricing based on market analysis of customer propensity to buy, competitive insight or replacement pricing and value represented in Firethorn offering. Help perform pricing validation.

. Work with provider sales teams to perform win/loss analysis in relation to potential price considerations and impact



Skills/Experience
Skills & Experiences:

. Minimum five years experience in market research and competitive intelligence.

. Strong quantitative analytics background

. Pricing analysis experience, identifying market and competitive influencers affecting price points and customers propensity to buy

. Solid understanding of primary and secondary research methods, including study design, data collection and statistical analysis

. Experience analyzing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative research data

. Familiarity with researching and documenting information from industry research papers and reports, as well as company web sites and product documentation

. Thorough knowledge of the wireless communications and/or financial industry including related terminology and market

. Must be able to take analytical skills and develop high level messaging that spans across various audiences; ability to compile data, analyze results and recommend course corrections

. A results-oriented, data-driven mentality in order to understand the importance of measurements and ROI

. Must have experience using primary and secondary information sources (industry and financial).

. Project Management experience to include the ability to work within guidelines of a project in a deadline-driven environment

. Financial experience is helpful

. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
