This senior engineering appointment will provide the company and its staff with technical leadership, innovation and knowledge in the area of physics as it pertains to Ellex products, specifically laser materials, laser systems and optics.  Key areas of responsibility will, from both a lead engineering and people leadership perspective include Product Design and Product Support along with “innovationâ€� involvement and the development of new laser/optical technology. 

 

As such, Ellex is looking to target an individual with post graduate qualifications in the field of laser physics, along with considerable experience gained as a laser design physicist/engineer, most likely obtained from within a multidisciplinary engineering group.  Experience in electro optical or medical applications would be a distinct advantage.  The position requires a high level of commercial acumen, along with drive, conviction and an outcomes focus.
