Senior Industrial Engineer - Sheet Meal Fabrication

Reporting Manager of Manufacturing Engineering and Facilities will be responsible for the administration and supervision of all Industrial Engineering functions.  Specific duties:

- Directs Industrial Engineering work load.

- Coordinates cost estimates and quotations.

- Performs cost comparisons.

- Assists in the determination of manpower requirements.

- Sets labor standards and develops elemental and standard data (with priority given first

  to the Assembly Department and next to the Press Department) in accordance with

  “Work Factor” (MTM).

- Writes method sheets.

- Conducts work sampling studies.

- Reviews work output – quantity and quality.

- Monitors plant incentive programs and performances.

- Develops standard practice instructions.

- Executes special projects as assigned.

- Prepares flow charts, layouts, designs, and assembly methods via use of AutoCAD and

applicable computer spreadsheet programs.

- Determines equipment requirements.

- Prepares facility capability.

 

B.S. in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field. Minimum of 10 years industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably sheet metal fabrication).  Computer literacy to include Computer Aided Design (CAD), spreadsheets, and word processing. Effective communication skills coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.  Experience in the application of JIT/TQM principles.  Background or experience in facilities and equipment maintenance and supervision preferred.
