Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer
For quick consideration apply hereSenior Facilities Electrical Engineer responsible for site low to medium voltage electrical distribution systems, indoor and outdoor lighting systems, fire alarm systems, some power circuit design, SCADA/PLC and DCS control systems.Specific duties include: - Perform engineering calculations for electrical loads, short circuit and device coordination studies, protective relay calculations and settings, voltage drops, conduit and conductor sizing, etc. - Provide project design support for the installation of Semiconductor manufacturing tools; some design duties include equipment sizing, selection, layout, verification of physical installations, and coordination with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure quality control. - Provide direction and work leadership for site electricians while providing Engineering Support to maintain electrical systems gear. - Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. Must interact with consulting engineering personnel and also with Electrical Utility representatives. Perform field surveys to verify as-built conditions and code compliance.This position requires the individual to be passionate about taking care of our internal customers (Manufacturing, Maintenance, Equipment Engineering) and provide on-going support. This individual must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and should be creative and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or within a group setting. The successful candidate will promote teamwork through example. An Electrical Engineering degree with 6+ years of experience is required. Must be familiar with electrical codes as well as NFPA 70 and 70E requirements, in additon to low and medium voltage switchgear, motor control centers, UPS systems (battery and DySC types), motor starters, current transformers, potential transformers, etc. Must be familiar with one line diagrams, elementary diagrams, wiring diagrams, P&IDs and loop diagrams, logic diagrams and PLC ladder logic. Ability to review and/or prepare electrical drawings and specifications for accuracy, code compliance, and cost-effectiveness is required. Must be PC proficient: AutoCAD 14 or newer, Windows, MS Word, Excel, Access, PLC programming, etc. Experience with Intellution / Allen Bradley systems preferred, JYC a strong plus), etc. Knowledge of hazardous gas monitoring systems is a plus.
