Job Responsibilities: At APC by Schneider Electric we understand the need to plan for our future by investing and developing our talent. The Sales Engineering Training Program enables new employees to go through an extensive training program around our products and key sales processes. The program gives you the tools to become an efficient and effective employee and immediately contribute to the team. This is a 2 year program where the Sales Trainee will be embedded as part of the Customer Solutions, Inside Sales, and Inside Sales Engineering Teams. The initial six months are comprised of specific training and orientation to the company and its products, as well as embedded apprenticeships in roles where you can make a real impact on the business and our Customers. After the completion of six months, the employee will be assigned to one of two core roles in the Inside Sales Team or the Inside Sales Engineering Team, ultimately becoming an expert in both roles, preparing the employee for a promotion into a field sales role at the end of 2 years. This position is accountable for learning the company's technology and products, pricing, processes, industry, and how to apply knowledge to customer's needs. Develop and practice personal skills used in promoting, selling, or resolving service and questions relating to a range of Schneider Electric products. Develop knowledge of industry channels, local market conditions, market segment strategies, customers, and Schneider Electric business philosophy and processes/procedures. Perform quote and order management activities. Develop specific technical compentcies and use them to design advanced integrated power, cooling and management solutions for IT environments and data centers. Develop and maintain positive customer relations. May coordinate with various functions within the Company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner. In this position you will: Provide customer and technical sales support utilizing working knowledge of Schneider Electric products and their applications, features and benefits. Compare and differentiate Schneider Electric products and provide information to customers while performing quote/order management activities. Create solutions in response to customer problems using appropriate application of Schneider Electric product and knowledge of the industry and competitor products. Persist appropriately in the face of obstacles and applies technical knowledge to solve business problems and make decisions. Upon successfully completing this program candidates will have the opportunity to move into outside sales positions, as well as other key Sales roles. Candidates must be available to relocate after two years. Requirements: This position requires four-year degree, preferably in engineering or equivalent experience in engineering, technical sales or marketing. Preferred candidate will have general knowledge of electrical distribution and air-conditioning systems, possess a high-energy can-do attitude, demonstrated leadership capability and have knowledge of information technology computing environments.
