Sales Developement Specialist

Philips Lumiled's Sales Development Department is a new and exciting team that is an integral part of the Philips Lumileds Sales organization. This team is responsible for managing all new business opportunities on a global basis, both for direct and channel business. The Sales Development Specialist position requires the ability to qualify new business opportunities, understand the unique business drivers for each opportunity, and then develop a commercial proposal that best leverages the corporate value proposition.

Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport inbound opportunity requests from WW Sales Account ManagersWork as a cohesive team with Sales Account Managers and Product Managers to develop optimal proposals per opportunity Understand and articulate product strengths, positioning, value, and competition-and adapt that to positioning the correct product and commercial position per opportunity Generate quotations Maintain accurate and complete data as well as generating activity reports and summaries

Skills and Technical RequirementsMotivated, self-starter with solid opportunity-qualification capabilityExcellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills Excellent problem-solving skills and detail-oriented approachThorough experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) Experience interfacing with Sales

QualificationsMinimum 2 years experience in Sales Development / Inside Sales / Product MarketingBA/BS or equivalent  (preferably with technical concentration)Semiconductor industry experience and basic DC circuitry knowledge desired
