Sales Consultant/Project Manager - Custom Audio & Video Services

ACS Home Entertainment has been a leader in home entertainment technologies for over 34 years.  Our roots were established in the home satellite industry that we helped pioneer.  We are now one of twenty Regional Service Providers for DISH Network (nationally).  We employ approximately 50 Satellite Installation Technicians and cover most of Southwestern Virginia. 

 

In addition to satellite technologies, ACS is also a strong market player in the field of commercial and residential custom audio/video solutions including custom flat panel TV installations, entire home data and A/V distribution, distributed audio, home theaters, Etc.  We currently maintain a customer-friendly retail showroom based in Roanoke, Virginia.

 

Job Description:

ACS is currently seeking a professional Sales Consultant to perpetuate the growth of our custom audio/video division.  This position will be responsible for actively seeking out new business opportunities while managing the affairs of existing projects.  It will also serve as the face and voice of ACS in the community, actively building relationships with construction-industry professionals, business owners, and corporate decision makers.  Lastly, this position will actively pursue new product offerings, keeping ACS on the forefront of modern technology.

 

Responsibilities:  Actively pursue new business opportunities in the residential and commercial sector Build lasting relationships with area professionals who can contributed to the growth of ACS Plan and construct professional job proposals in coordination with installation team utilizing professional software tools provided by ACS Meet minimum profitability goals as established by ACS Maintain a minimum performance goal as established by ACS Keep up-to-date with modern custom A/V technology and trends Develop a full understanding of key product manufactures and their current offerings Take a pro-active role in developing a through understanding of the installation process to better aid knowledge of products, process, and the industry Continuously deliver ideas and growth opportunities for ACS Develop a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape within our region Attend training seminars, trade shows, and other engagements as needed Sell, Sell, Sell!

 

Qualifications: Requires strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Professional in appearance and posture Minimum of 4-6 years of professional sales experience with proven track record of success Self-motivated individual with ability to remain productive independent of direct management Comfortable cold-calling to establish new relationships and identify perspective clients Detailed-oriented Willingness to work late nights or weekends as needed Willing and able to jump into projects, as needed, to meet timeline and budgetary goals Knowledgeable and comfortable utilizing various Microsoft Office programs and other computer based programs to manage business affairs Prior A/V experience preferred but not required
