Newark is looking for a highly motivated Sr. Pricing Analyst that would develop and maintain pricing strategies that balance NIO’s profit margin expectations and ensure a market competitive product portfolio across all channels and markets.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be able to relate and effectively communicate with many different levels within the organization, ranging from technical areas that develop systems to executive committees that decide far-reaching company strategies. Given the broad constituency of pricing strategy, must be attuned to the NIO organizational structure and excel in driving consensus amongst functional groups with divergent needs and goals. Provide leadership to internal customers by fostering a common analytical language and framework for evaluating company initiatives and day-to-day financial decisions. Responsible for developing the analytical and decision-making skills of junior pricing analysts or pricing specialist. Provide comprehensive financial analyses that facilitate the processing of cost and strategic price changes while protecting company margins and mitigating competitive pressures. Act as a first line resource for NIO sales branches by investigating pricing discrepancies, explaining NIO pricing processes, and communicating the high level pricing strategies, policies and philosophies that the company has decided to pursue. Drive executive level strategy meetings by thoroughly reviewing the relevant aspects of pricing/financial strategies and providing insightful analyses and recommendations that lead to purposeful discussions/decisions. Actively manage the pricing strategy for product lines by working with and directing internal stakeholders such as Product Management, ICG, Marketing, and Finance. Actions include: troubleshooting supplier cost books, relaying sales feedback, monitoring competitor trends, and guiding the strategic decisions in terms of pricing and margin management Partner and lead key internal customers / functional groups to manage the functions associated with researching and proposing pricing strategy, policies, new and existing product pricing, solution pricing and optimization opportunities across all markets and channels.
· Establish and manage key performance metrics that assist in understanding performance and success factors of pricing/ costing strategies and policies.
· Proactively identify and communicate significant customer, salesperson, supplier, product, competitor and/or market trends as it relates to pricing strategy to required internal customers
· Proactively recommend, develop and/or implement new pricing actions/strategies and provides timely, insightful, actionable and accurate analysis and recommendations to key internal customers / functional groups based on analysis of key performance metrics
· Proactively improve efficiencies and effectiveness of business as usual pricing tasks, metrics, reporting and analysis based on the direction and needs of the organization
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Skills/Know How This position requires the unique blend of micro level attention to detail and macro level abilities to foresee the ramifications of potential actions both in terms of internal stakeholders and external suppliers and competitors. Strong software and production system’s knowledge with the ability to query and analyze data to provide insights and/or recommendations. Conceptual with the ability to provide insights and recommendations Finance, Product and Market knowledge Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks/objectives and work in a fast paced environment. Dedication to customer service and process improvement Proactive Potential to develop managerial, leadership and decision making skills Possess and displays diplomacy and interpersonal skills Ability to fill multiple roles and responsibilities within the department to increase productivity/effectiveness.
Experience Four to seven years of Financial analysis In addition, two to four years of pricing related theory and/or analysis· Experience in product management/marketing and/or the electronics industry a plus BS Degree (Finance and/or Mathematics); MBA a plus
