Essential Job Description: Responsible for the supervision of the Repair group whose main functions are troubleshooting product, product repairs, returns, in addition to providing the best customer service possible. Monitors and directs the day to day returns processes. Responsible for the supervision and all activities pertaining to the maintenance of the repair group. This would include tools, supplies and payroll. Monitors and directs the complete return/repair authorization (RMA) process in company ERP system and identifies and participates in process improvements. Responsible for accuracy of customer owned, B Stock and retuned material inventory locations. This would include participation in inventory audits as needed. Responsible for the maintenance of all processes and procedures related to returns and repairs. Communicates with customers via telephone and/or e-mail or other methods to answer and provide resolutions to questions, problems, and/or complaints in a fast paced environment. Tracks and analyzes types of equipment problems to give feedback to engineering and manufacturing. Provides logistical support to ensure smooth flow of product for repairs and replacement units to dealers, distributors, and end users. Run a variety of reports that help to monitor the day to day activities of the repairs/returns group. Communicates and provides solutions for artist relations, sales and product specialists for all return issues. Helps update and maintain accurate records by the utilizing spreadsheets or databases and is responsible for the reporting. May participate in corporate trade shows. Help to gather failure/product feature data for Quality Team. Works with Service Manager to evaluate, promote, terminate employees, and recommends promotions and increases. Maintain strong employee relations. Participate in customer service incentive programs by developing and conducting incentive programs for the repair group. Must be available for international travel. Experience/Qualifications: Must have at least 1-3 years experience as an electronics repair technician. Must be able to troubleshoot aalog and digital circuits to repair solution. Must be able to interpret technical drawings and Schematics. Knowledge of manufacturing processes is a plus but not mandatory. Solid knowledge base of electronic music applications, guitar effects guitar amplification, and midi sequencing. Experience with identifying and suggesting proper gain structure and setting levels in a recording environment. Troubleshooting skills to isolate problem components and basic electronics knowledge a plus. Skills required: Individual must have basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel and familiarity with E-mail applications. Adobe Acrobat, Page Maker, Visio, PowerPoint and Filemaker knowledge is a plus. Individual should have experience using Windows databases.
