Regulatory Engineer - Solar Power

Our client is making tremendous strides in the development of products that will facilitate the adoption of green technologies such as advanced batteries, solar panels, and fuel cells. This individual will be working with a small group of talented engineers making a direct impact on the company's mission and being part of their tremendous growth! The regulatory systems engineer will focus on all aspects of regulatory compliance for new product designs, from DfR (Design for Regulatory) feedback & initial pre-qualification to agency interface & submittals, and approval expedition.

Responsibilities
• Define a Certification Roadmap based on product definition and regional sales plans.
• Interpret regulations' impact on product design and drive DfR requirements into the product design.
• Design and conduct pre-submittal internal regulatory qualification tests
• Provide Regulatory Expert advice into the product planning process, including product roadmaps, product definitions, & project schedules.
• Creatively define & implement alternative solutions to shorten approval cycle times
• Ensure all products submitted for approvals pass on the first attempt.
• Establish company regulatory function. Define & document company regulatory processes & procedures.




Requirements
• BSEE with 10+ years experience in electronics regulatory engineering.
• Solar Power Regulatory experience preferred.
• Intimate knowledge of UL1741, IEEE 1547, UL1703 and FCC class B standards.
• Familiarity with related IEC and TUV standards, as well as CEC/CSI standards, and the processes for certification under these standards

 

Candidates must be eligible to work in the US, visa sponsorships OK.  Absolutely no corp to corp.
