RFIC Design Engineer

1. Circuit design and layout of building blocks of a SiGe BiCMOS or RF CMOS transceiver, particularly VCO, charge pump, LNA, mixer, IQ modulator and Bandgap. Work closely with the system architect to propose and implement proper circuit techniques in order to meet demanding requirements in terms of electrical performance, power consumption and area.
2. Well versed in tackling circuit deficiencies using methods such as automatic calibration, dynamic element matching, DC offset cancellation and automatic level adjustment.

Required Skills

1. Must have a thorough understanding of merits and drawbacks of various circuit topologies for VCOs, synthesizers, LNAs and mixers.
2. Prior work experience in designing at least one transceiver in either RF CMOS or SiGe BiCMOS technologies. Candidate must have an in-depth knowledge of characteristics of various components in these technologies.
3. Proficient in using Cadence schematic capture, ADE, SpectreRF and layout editor to implement a design from concept to the layout.
4. Able to design circuits to meet system-level performance metrics such as NF, P1dB, ACPR and IP3.

BSEE with 10 years, MSEE with 4-5 years or PhDEE with 1-3 years of direct experience in RFIC design in either SiGe BiCMOS or RF CMOS
