Quality Manager

Requirements: 

Quality Manager must have a minimum of 4 years experience in quality assurance or related role within the PCB industry. Knowledge of PCB assemblies and soldering is a must. IPC 610 certification is desirable. Must be a team oriented player and detailed oriented worker.  Must have mature work habits, excellent communication and people skills. Understanding of ISO certification requirements a plus.

 

 

 

Job Skills:

Must be able to read and understand printed circuit board assembly documentation and component blueprints.  Must have knowledge of computers, and experience using Microsoft Office applications. This position requires excellent reasoning and soldering skills, and the ability to use basic measuring instruments such as digital calipers, pin gauges, and ruler. Must be able to investigate problems, determine root cause, and work with appropriate resources to develop preventive measures.

 

 

 

Primary Function:

Quality Manager is responsible for overall operations of the QA department including; staffing, training, and inspection process development and requirements. Quality Manager will assume the role of Management Representative in regards to ISO certification. Quality Manager will be company interface to customer corrective action requests and responsible for closure. Provide and analyze quality metrics to work towards zero defects. This position reports to the Plant Manager and President, works closely with the production and assembly leaders to improve quality levels.

 

 

 

Work Performed:

Basic duties include managing day to day activities of the QA department. Train and instruct manufacturing team in acceptable printed circuit assembly and repair requirements and techniques. Work with appropriate resources to determine root cause and develop corrective actions. Assists in developing new manufacturing practices to streamline production and eliminate quality issues.  Adheres to all company polices and procedures.
