Company Overview: Bear Power Supplies is a growing manufacturer of standard and custom switching powersupplies used in various industrial, commercial and medical applications. Thedesign and manufacturing facility is located southeast of Rochester on RT 96 inPhelps New York (between Victor and Geneva). We also offer electronic designand manufacturing assembly services under the name Z-AXIS Inc. This workincludes ITAR compliant assemblies.  Manufacturingprocesses include encapsulation, wire assemblies, through-hole and SMT PCBassemblies. 

Job Description:

This is a hands-on management position for a company moving toward ISOcertification.  The QualityManger will plan, coordinate and direct the daily operations of the Qualitydepartment to meet customer and company requirements utilizing the qualitymanagement system.  Some of the duties include:

  Manage quality department. Guide company through the ISO certification process. Coordinate company-wide corrective action process. Train quality personnel. Work with customers to ensure their requirements are met. Perform internal quality audits. Define and implement standards and methods for inspecting and testing products.

Requirements:

  Minimum 5 years in an electronics environment in a quality department. Supervisory experience required. Degree desired but not required. Expertise in IPC 610 standard. Experience with ISO 9001:2000. Experience in development of procedures, work instructions and quality plans. Knowledge of 6 Sigma methods and techniques, process control systems.
