Purchasing Project Coordinator

As the Purchasing Project Coordinator (PC), you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating projects involving multiple groups within the Purchasing department.  These projects will include, but are not limited to tracking Purchasing benchmarking, maintaining department organizational charts, Purchasing SharePoint site coordination, Purchasing Work Plan and Performance Appraisal tracking, Purchasing training and documentation, career ladder development, cost reduction initiatives, Purchasing strategic roadmap development, development of department policies and procedures, coordination of IMFS services (support and training needs) and other department wide projects.  You will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining the collection and compilation of department metrics and presentations.  You may be a primary point of contact for other department inquiries and communications, along with coordinating communication methods between Purchasing and other departments (Fab, Facilities, Human Resources, and Information Systems). Areas of responsibility referenced above are not all inclusive and may change as the group and role develop over time.Duties and Values for the Purchasing Project Coordinator include, but are not limited to the following: Support area to meet Department GoalsImplement, monitor and communicate effectivelySupport Training and Development effortsGood understanding of business metrics (balance sheet, profit/loss statement, backlog, gross margin, profit margin, etc.)Ability to effectively participate in a formal business negotiationAbility to follow policies and procedures implicitlyAbility to recognize conflict situations, facilitate problem resolution and alert management when necessaryAble and flexible in dealing with changeAdvanced written and verbal communication skills necessary to routinely and effectively interact with other departments and senior level management at supplier companiesAn understanding of Customer Service Programs and methodologiesComfortable working in a team environmentContinue personal development and business knowledgeSupport an environment conducive to promoting free exchange of feedbackCustomer service orientedData management experienceEconomic modeling abilitiesEffective follow-through abilitiesMinimum of two (2) years experience in semiconductor industryEstablish a positive working relationshipExcellent contract and purchasing terms knowledgeExcellent critical thinking and problem solving skillsExercises judgment in selecting methods and technique s for obtaining the best solutions for the customersExperience supporting manufacturing areasMaintain knowledge of IMFT’s policiesMeet time-sensitive deadlines while coordinating multiple projects within the same area, ensuring all projects are completed and closed out in a timely mannerPossesses the ability to coordinate multiple tasks proficientlyPresentation and communication skills to communicate with team members including managementPresentation skills necessary to professionally represent the company within the supplier communityProactive in identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutionsSupport communication of shared vision and goals with all team membersReads and stays abreast of industry trends and policiesSkilled at directing meetings and presentationsStrong business financial management skillsStrong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong project management and evaluation skillsAbility to operate in a less-controlled environmentProficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, SharePoint, Savvion, SAP and Documentum Required Education Bachelors in Business or equivalent experience
