Project Lead - Creative Services
Job Responsibilities: Summary of Job: he main purpose of this position is to provide project management to creative teams working on communications team projects (Advertising, Magazines, Literature, etc.) working with a variety of subject matter experts, communications managers and marketing teams globally. The key role is to drive multiple creative projects to completion: on time, on budget and on specification, with primary focus on meeting the project brief requirements and maintaining overall account satisfaction. Essential Functions: • Provide project management to creative team members by directing their activities to meet the individual requestor’s project objectives • Manage multiple projects for multiple requestors, including ownership of project brief, scope of work, facilitating approvals, managing expectations and timeline • Develop, plan and manage the project critical path and timeline to meet the forecasted delivery deadline Move projects through all major stages of project development (brief, scope, concept, writing, design, final approvals) • Function as a requestor to the production team for Localization, Translation, Printing and Publishing of completed projects as required by the scope of work. • Ensure proper asset management at project completion Manage relationship with individual project requestors, including timely flow of information within the project team, the company and to/ from the requestor • Conduct post-project analysis with individual project requestor • Manage relationship with vendors for outsourced creative work, from RFQ submittal to PO approval for completed work, following established creative guidelines • Manage relationships with design managers, account managers, team leaders, editors, writers, designers, producers Secondary Functions: • Collect Response data on completed projects and provide as input to further project development that drives response due to graphic effectiveness • Continually assess the project and identify potential areas of increased effectiveness, efficiency and value add to the account to provide maximum ROI to the business • Work with other project managers and creative leadership to determine best practices for working with vendors for outsourced work • Create guidelines and templates for use in vendor / agency work • Work with other project managers and creative leadership to monitor and improve process for working with vendors • Work with creative production teams to monitor and improve cross-functional process interaction Education Required: BA, BS, BFA or equivalent Experience: 4-8 years of related experience without required education Knowledge: - Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills - Strong budget and critical path management skills - Excellent communication and documentation skills - Attention to detail and quality service - The ability to work in a team environment and work independently - The ability to work accurately under tight deadlines and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously - Strong problem-solving skills and project contingency planning capabilities - Strong customer focus - Proficient computer skills in Microsoft project, Excel, Word - Preferred: PMI Certification (except CAPM) Travel: 3-4 domestic trips annually 1 International trip yearly Other Key Considerations: KEY PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Please identify the key professional relationships required for this position - Account management teams - Internal Creative and Production teams - Business Subject matter experts / project owners - External Vendors Submit Your Resume Online NowAPC-MGE is an equal opportunity employer.
