Program Manager, Function Test Platform - North Reading, MA

Teradyne's Assembly Test Division (ATD) designs, manufactures, and markets a broad range of circuit board test and inspection systems, peripheral instrumentation and related software and test-development tools for the Aerospace, Automotive, and Defense Industry. Duties & Responsibilities

Teradyne’s Assembly Test Division is looking for a Program Manager to manage one or more military programs for ATD’s Mil/Aero functional test platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of multiple programs or subsystems of major programs from inception through completion. Candidate will participate in sales led contract negotiations for new contracts and changes to existing contracts. Responsibilities include: Review and evaluate customer request for proposals and/or change proposals and assist in preparation of bid packages Coordinate preparation and review of all program cost estimates including material, labor (recurring and non-recurring) and contract data requirements (CDRL’s) Act as primary customer liaison for all program activities; lead program review sessions, both in house and with customers, to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance Coordinate cross functional engineering, marketing, sales and operation’s disciplines to align the work of employees assigned to the program and related subprojects Prepare, monitor, and frequently update engineering program plans, task plans, schedules and action items.Monitor and control total program recurring and non-recurring costs through complete transfer of the program to manufacturing and full scale production.Coordinate and monitor all program qualification testing ( including Qualification Test Plans, First Article Test Plans and others as defined in the contract)Prepare management information of assigned programs including periodic executive reviews.



Additional duties include:Experience in performing analysis of Support and Services obligations of Mil Aero functional test platforms is desired. Preparing of monthly Support Program status reportsIinterface with customer, provide FRACAS information and drive successful implementation of FRACAS corrective actions back into the supply line.Implementation of an Repair Asset tracking monthly report will be executed by utilizing existing tracking processes and develop added processes if needed. 

 

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education RequiredTechnical Bachelor’s degree (required) and MBA (desirable). Candidate will have 5+ years experience in Program Management, preferably in military functional test. Specific knowledge of the DOD procurement process and government policies and regulations a plus. Requires direct knowledge of program management requirements and techniques; formal training in Program Management desired. Ability to plan, organize, and assist in the management of one or more programs. Excellent communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the company’s functional groups. Willing to travel. Proficient in PC based office and project planning tools. Proficient in MS Excel and use of Pivot Tables
