Based in Fort Collins Colorado, Baker Instrument Company, an SKF Group Company has been doing business for over 40 years.  A manufacturer of motor reliability test equipment Baker is a world leader with representation worldwide. Baker is currently looking for two full time local Sales Representatives. One to cover the Southeastern United States and one to cover the Western United States.  Candidate will be calling on an existing customer base and will also be expected to prospect for new customers. Baker services large industrial customers such as Pulp & Paper, Power Plants, Refineries, etc.

 

Qualified personnel will possess a college degree and or relative sales experience. Preferred candidates will have a working knowledge of electric motors and sales experience in the industrial sector, with a minimum of 5 years experience. This job requires extensive travel within the territory. 

 

Position is salary plus commission, benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life, 401k, vacation.

 Duties

  Candidate will be calling on an existing customer base, following up on leads as well as prospecting for new customers. Efficiently setting up meetings and weekly trips. Demonstrating equipment capabilities in an office setting as well as in the field. Generate reports from testing performed during demo. Communicate to manager on all meetings as well as the sales process. Follow up on meetings and closing the sale. After sales service and follow up training. Communicate to manager software and hardware issues for product enhancement. Prepare for, attends, and actively participates in all requited sales conferences and training classes at local and/or remote locations.

 

 Primary Skills

 

Good writing and presentation skills, detail oriented, computer proficient, self-motivated, prospecting and closing skills.

 

Knowledge of transferring data from databases, typing and basic data entry are required.
