Product Manager - Plaza

Job Description
As a Staff Product Manager, you'll be responsible for helping define and refine the viral and community-oriented aspects of a new wireless data service offering targeted at Mobile Network Operators worldwide. You'll not only be responsible for contributing to the overall strategic production direction and feature definition but will work with engineering to design, build, and release this new solution along side other aggressive team members working toward tight deadlines and high value objectives. As the candidate for this position, you'll be inspiring new use cases and functionality for an open, standards-based product offering that naturally lends itself to viral adoption, use, and propagation. You'll be challenged with staying ahead of the game, educating others in the team on the latest in online viral and social-oriented trends, and helping us get a product out the door with capabilities and quality that you can be proud of.

Skills/Experience
* Four to six years of experience in product management or related experience; with at least two years doing related work with an active and established Web 2.0 service, ideally one targeted at mobile phone/device end users.
* A thorough understanding of client/server technologies, web portals, and content publishing platforms as well as mobile applications, solutions, wireless infrastructure, and wireless device platforms and development environments.
* Examples of strong verbal facilitation, presentation, and interaction skills.
* Overall organization ability to handle a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* Ability to effectively work and collaborate with product managers and engineers as well as sales, marketing and other cross-functional disciplines.

Additional Skills
* Extensive experience in product development methodologies and practices.
* Preference for creating trends rather than following them.
* The successful candidate for this position is highly dedicated, has a professional attitude, and possesses a strong work-ethic.
* Must be willing to innovate and be passionate about doing so.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent
