This company is a major provider of products and systems that purify, protect and transport critical materials used in the semiconductor device fabrication process. They seek to help manufacturers increase their yields by improving contamination control in several key processes, including photolithography, wet etching & cleaning. - Be a support to the new product development projects both technically and administratively (Develop fixturing, run experiments, analyze data, etc.) -Drive product derivatives and customizations as required (Build prototypes, etc.) - Support efforts to achieve useful designs of products, technical groups, customers, etc. - Execute the plans of senior engineers in support of Micro E goals, having familiarity with concepts, techniques, and principles of mechanical and chemical systems.- Provide technical support to manufacturing or other groups as necessary. - Repair/maintain, install equipment in support of product development programs. - Some domestic or international travel may be required (< 5%) Qualifications Requirements: Our client is in search of a product development engineer in this fabulous city! You will be responsible for supporting more senior engineers, the product/process design and development projects, as well as manufacturing support for a range of products used in their semiconductor fabrication processes. - BS degree in mechanical, chemical, or plastics engineering. -3-8 years of engineering experience in working on wafer handling products - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to solve problems first hand. -Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications. - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. - The candidate must be authorized to work in the United States and allowed to work on State Department controlled technologies. -Experience with clean rooms, facilities, industrial equipment installation/maintenance, or separation processes would be beneficial. - Knowledge of chemistry principles, particularly water chemistry and those chemical systems used in the semiconductor industry is helpful -Some experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD Inventor, and/or ProE Wildfire 3D CAD software is also helpful. - Some understanding of the IC processes and equipment technologies is preferred.Volt Professional Search is an equal opportunity employer and is proud to maintain a drug-free work environment.
