Pr. Embedded Software Engineer
Position SummaryMicrochip Technology is looking for a knowledgeable Embedded Software Engineer to develop variety of software solutions and serve as a technical interface to our third party software partners. The ideal candidate has software design and development experience with embedded systems using 16 and/or 32-bit microcontrollers with excellent written and oral communication skills. Essential Functions- Design and develop software solutions to support a new microcontroller family- Work with third party software partners to define and develop software solutions- Create user documents for the software solutions- Participate in identifying required software solutions and features- Develop and present technical training- Assist customers in troubleshooting and resolving technical issuesMinimum Requirements1. Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience2. Experience with 16- or 32-bit microcontrollers; PICmicro experience is a plus3. Working experience of programming in C and C++ language; Knowledge of assembly language is a plus4. Experience in designing and developing real-time embedded applications using RTOS is a plus5. Experience in communication protocols such as TCP/IP, USB/OTG, CAN etc. is a plus6. Experience in Windows programming is a plus7. Hands-on experience with commercially available embedded applications development tools8. Good written and oral communication skills Special RequirementsSome domestic and international travel required.Minimum Physical QualificationsMust Possess the ability to stand 5%, walk 10%, sit 85%.
