Power Electronics Engineers (Design/R&D etc)
Have 3 openings for similar roles,
Design Engineer, Sr Design Engineer and Senior R&D Engineer(some leadership experience required),
for this great Power Electronics company in Orange County, California.
ResponsibilitiesSupport and design a variety of custom, standard and modified standard products as required. Support Research and Development projects in advanced power conversion methods. Generate schematics for own designs. Oversee PCB designers, checks work and recommends modifications as appropriate. Performs tolerance and stress analysis. Preparations for internal and customer design reviews. Supervises and mentors junior engineers and technicians. Prepares project schedules. Provides support to manufacturing facility for production ramp up of new products. Concurrently works on multiple projects.
Requirements:
* Ability and desire to initiate product and process improvements.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment SPICE simulation software.
* Power supply design environment, including hands-on power supply design from 10W to 1KW and various power converter topologies: flyback, forward, half bridge, full bridge and push-pull converters and SMT components.
