Job Responsibilities: APC by Schneider Electric continues its growth! We are currently interviewing Mechanical Engineers for our Platform Engineering group. Responsibilities The Platform Engineer essential functions will include: Participate in the investigation and resolution of issues that negatively affect the quality, performance, and reliability of air-conditioning product in a manufacturing environment from a mechanical and electrical standpoint. Responsible to support manufacturing and the field through corrective action to improve product design and/or reduce product and production costs. The ideal candidate will have: a BSME and at least 4 to 7 years experience in design and support of air-conditioning or related fields, or an Associate’s degree in Technology/Applied Science and at least 8 years experience in design and support of air conditioning or related fields; or equivalent education and experience. Manufacturing experience, direct field experience and knowledge of air-conditioning mechanical components and electrical components is required. Specifically Precision Controlled HVAC a plus. The position also requires excellent troubleshooting, problem solving skills, leadership skills, CAD experience (Solid Works) as well as effective written and verbal communication skills. Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs may be required. Additionally, there will be domestic and international travel as required. Candidate must be able to interact well with customers, and the various internal disciplines.
