PROJECT Engineer/ PCB DESIGN Engineer

PROJECT ENGINEER

 

EXPERIENCE: Project Engineer - ConnectorsRequired:

· 5 years minimum connector or cable assembly design experience

· 2-3 years minimum experience in 2D and 3D CAD (Solid Works)

· Good understanding of metals and plastics processing and assembly techniques

· Ability to perform tolerance analysis

· Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control)

· Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely

 

Preferred:

· Some pcb design and SMT experience

· 2-3 years customer interaction

· Project management skills that demonstrate the ability to set goals and priorities

· Understanding of FEA, contact physics

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Independently design and develop new connectors (concepts, related feasibility research, cost quotes, timelines, etc) based on marketing/engineering specifications.

· Complete documentation (drawings, FMEAs, control plans, DVP&Rs, etc.) for designs.

· Manage document control, ECNs and release of drawings.

· Support manufacturing with new design reviews, timely release of drawings, production issues.

· Understand ISI manufacturing capabilities to support design duties.

· Work closely with manufacturing on continuous product improvement and cost reduction plans.

· Travel to support meetings with customers to discuss new and existing designs.

· “Whatever it takes� attitude to successfully complete projects on time.

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 

PCB DESIGN ENGINEER:PCB Design

 

EXPERIENCE Required:

·  Minimum of 5 years experience with schematic capture and PCB design, preferably with P-Cad or Altium Designer.

·  Experience in the design of complex printed circuit boards, fabrication drawings and assembly drawings.

·  Must be familiar with IPC and other related requirements for printed circuit boards.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely

 

Preferred:

· Degree in Engineering

· Some SMT experience

· 2-3 years customer and supplier interaction

· Project management skills that demonstrate the ability to set goals and priorities

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Perform design and layout of PCBs.

· Manage document control, ECNs and release of drawings.

·  Manage component libraries.

· Support manufacturing with new design reviews, timely release of drawings, production issues.

· Travel to support meetings with customers to discuss new and existing designs.

· “Whatever it takes� attitude to successfully complete projects on time.

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
