PRODUCT ENGINEER - EMI Group
Murata Electronics North America, Inc., a leading international electronic component sales organization, is seeking a Product Engineer for our corporate headquarters located in Smyrna, Georgia.
The successful candidate will have the responsibility for representing the company via technical and application support of a particular product. While this position will typically be focused on one particular product or product group / technology area, the position is also responsible for being able to understand and represent general technical aspects of all products marketed by the company.Duties include but are not limited to:- Provide technical and application support to Customers. (Via sales channels and direct as required)- Utilizing marketing system tools, collect and report latest needs and trends in market and at customers. - Recognize and define opportunities for new products or when changes to existing products are required to meet changing market needs. - Provide technical and marketing support of customer road shows and tradeshow needs of Market -Segment / MARCOM groups.- Create and maintain catalog and application guides, for related product area- Via cooperation with Murata Product Divisions, identify mainstream topics and assist in writing application guides and technical articles.Education/Skills/Knowledge:Must possess and/or build marketing and technical product knowledge in support of the company and our customers. Must understand the inter-relationships between product positioning (life cycle / capacity / etc.) and profitability. Required to exhibit good judgment, analytical, and communication skills. Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred), or related work experience. Travel Required:Frequency 2 to 8 nights per month.Domestic and International (depending on product and customers base)Travel to Japan for meetings with Product Divisions / Training etc. (As required/ typically 1 trip every 2 years) We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
