Outside Sales Representative

The Altair Company, a privately owned distributor of industrial plastics, passive electronic components, and contract manufacturing.  Providing a broad base of materials and services to diverse industries including oil & gas, construction, medical, computer, military and fabrication industries. 

The Altair Company has a position open for Outside Sales Representative in our Richardson, TX division.  The successful candidate will oversee and manage all aspects of the designated geographical sales territory in order to grow The Altair Company’s overall market share.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent preferred.  Minimum of two years Industrial Sales experience required, preferably in the plastics or electronics distribution industry.  Energetic, enthusiastic, professional, dynamic, excellent communication skills a must.  Some overnight travel required.  Major responsibilities of the Outside Sales Representative include, but are not limited to:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key and prospective customers. Have knowledge of market conditions, competition, and current market pricing. Demonstrate product capability and knowledge. Assist in resolution of quality, credit, service, and pricing issues. Interact with appropriate departments to maintain customer satisfaction. Identify and develop new markets and customers to create a competitive sales advantage.
