Provoast Automation Controls, an industrial automation distributor, seeks Outside Sales Representative for Orange County.  We also have positions in San Diego, Los Angeles, Riverside, & San Bernardino Counties.


About Us
Provoast Automation Controls is a distributor of pneumatic and electronic components that sells to both OEM machine builders and user plants. We cover all of Southern California and Baja California, Mexico. The products that we sell range from pneumatic valves, actuators, filters, regulators, and fittings to electronic switches, sensors, power supplies, PLC's, touch screens, and robots. The manufacturers that we represent are all well known and respected in the industry.

Responsibilities
This position involves:
• Direct technical selling to both existing and potential customers
• Calling on Purchasing, Engineering, and Maintenance departments
• A selling approach to provide technical solutions that will help our customer's machines to perform better, making them more competitive and resulting in more production
• A great deal of time in training on the products that we sell, so prior knowledge is not mandatory but would be an advantage

Our customers are located in virtually all industries and that means there is great potential for growth. If you have special experience in the Commercial Laundry Industry or Printing Industry then we may create a position for you calling on these customers throughout Southern California.

 

Requirements
Education/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Automation
• 2 years of Industrial selling experience

Qualifications
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
• Good communication and time management skills
• Good mechanical aptitude in order to understand how production equipment operates
• Must have reliable transportation
