Summary Of Position:
Overall management and support of Oracle and MS Project applications and databases. Interact with peers and management to support the productivity goals in compliance with policies and procedures

Duties:
Principal responsibilities include but not limited to: Provide system/application support in the resolution of Oracle database and application issues. Responsible for providing administration and technical support for MS Project and MS Project Server. Support design and develop modifications as identified by the business and project stakeholders. Installation, configuration, patching and upgrading of Oracle and MS Project application / server software and related products.
Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures. Provide development and test environment clones and builds as needed.Implement and maintain database security. Perform database & application tuning and performance monitoring.Setup and maintain documentation and standards. Manage & plan ongoing improvements in capacity, performance, and security. Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support as required. Maintain awareness of Industry developments and best practices to evaluate technologies, tools and processes to provide a strategic database direction & competitive advantage. Ensure compliance and adherence to Corporate and IT goals, policies, and procedures

Required Skills: Demonstrated successes in program and project management role(s).
Strong understanding of the databases and related utilities.
Demonstrated understanding and experience with Oracle database tools (i.e. OAM, OEM, RMAN). Experience with Linux, Unix, and Windows environments.   strong understanding of the underlying operating system.
Strong experience and knowledge of MS Project Server Administration and Implementation 2003. Must have demonstrated in-depth knowledge and understanding of MS Project Server administration, troubleshooting, tools, templates, add-ons, and customizations Ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring. Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios. A good knowledge of security management and data integrity. A strong understanding and experience in how Oracle & MS Project acquires and manages resources. Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle. A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning.
Proven ability in the handling multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualifications Required:BS in computer science or at least 5-7 years of extensive related experience in MS Project/Project Server and/or Oracle certification. 5 years Sr. DBA experience with minimum 2 years DBA experience in Oracle 11.5.x Applications environment is preferred or at least 5 years experience as a MS Project Server Support Engineer or Architect.
Solid experience with SQL, PL-SQL, UNIX shell scripting, Meta-Frame, Oracle 8-10x databases, Oracle Web/Applications servers, Discoverer, J-Initiator. Demonstrated experience in installation, configuration, and upgrading Oracle ERP Applications. Experience with database monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning. Ability to work and multi-task within high-pressure 24x7x365, global environment. Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot complex systems at the system level. Knowledge of custom compliance software, database and production applications is a plus. Ability to quickly analyze and troubleshoot issues and provide proactive monitoring of databases and applications. Demonstrated ability for conflict management with staff, peers and superiors.
