Operations Project Specialist - Supply Chain

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Windows Operations Project Specialist at our world headquarters in the Lehigh Valley, PA. In this fast paced environment, this position will focus on tracking all Window Systems backlog, delivery fill rate and supply issues that affect the ability of the manufacturing plant to take care of the customer. This highly visible position will interface at all levels of our organization and offers excellent growth potential.

 

Responsibilities:

· Participate in regular supply meetings to resolve any backlog and delivery issues. 

· Work with multiple departments within Lutron to provide solutions, continual process improvement, and to address root cause issues and drive solutions to achieve a 95% or better fill rate.

· Detailed planning and coordination for raw material procurement into production facilities and scheduling for finished goods production. 

· Responsible for providing supply analysis and planning for product transfers between facilities. 

· Coordinate customs and logistics activities, develop plans for parts with lead times, define the stock transition plan, evaluate the cost impact for inventory, and evaluate new safety levels in the receiving facility.

· Work in conjunction with the receiving and sending facilities, supply chain group and the project leader to successfully gain consensus and implement the transfer plan.

· Provide operational support for new product introductions. 

· Creation of finished goods model numbers and BOMs to drive part requirements through the MRP, coordination with production facilities to create manufacturing requirements, safety stock analysis and supply chain fulfillment planning. 

· When required, he is responsible for the obsoletion of existing products being replaced while minimizing the amount of inventory stranded. 

 

Qualifications:

· Bachelors Degree required, B.S./M.S. in Supply Chain Management is preferred.

· 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, planning and/or supply chain role in a manufacturing environment.

· 3+ yrs Project Management experience preferred. Experience with MRP, MRPII, ERP and SCM is desired. Project Management Certification is also desired.

· Must have proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and MSProject and the ability to develop PowerPoint presentations .
