Analyses and corrects operational problems on a variety of production Molding processes:manual, semi-automatic, or fully automatic molding equipment. Diagnoses and corrects molded product conditions relative to tooling and process parameters. Performs various basic and advanced statistical operations to establish facts related to the problem. Responsible for ensuring continuous operation of molding processes by performing continuous readjustments to process parameters, exploring and resolving material process anomalies. Perform in-press changeovers, bench work for replacement of worn or broken tooling, complete mold cleaning and polishing, mold changeovers and setup. Also performs visual and dimensional inspection to ensure product meets engineered specifications. Must have multiple years experience with molding machinery in a production setting. Excellent machining and machine trouble shooting / repair / mechanical skills.
